David Nix
Welcome to my somewhat spartan new web pages. My old website suffered a
hacker attack and the server was taken offline. This new set of pages
will have to do for the time being until I can whip up something more
substantial. I'll include the basic info and links to placeholder
pages, and then flesh things out with more images and text as time
permits.
About me:
I am a computer graphics artist living and working in the San Francisco
bay peninsula area. Currently, I am employed by PDI-DreamWorks,
and I am working on the Shrek movie franchise. I work as a layout
animator, which basically means I do the initial set up of all
shots/scenes in the production, install all the assets, sets, props and
characters, and I do the camera animation. I have been doing computer
graphics professionally since 1995, and I have worked in film, tv and

I have an interest in music production and recording, and I waste a lot
of time on the electric guitar and bass. I'm a bit of a collector, and
have quite a few guitars and amps. I have also taken up tube amp
building, and have been studying/teaching myself electronics. Related

I am involved with progressive political causes and projects, and
actively support several news/information portals dedicated to getting
alternative views out for the public to see. For the most part, the
mainstream media is not your friend, and is just a tool of big business
interests or the government. Progressive news and activism links
